Connecting WhatsApp (Meta Cloud API)
Link your own WhatsApp Business number so you can chat with leads and send templates.
WhatsApp works through your own WhatsApp Business Account on the Meta Cloud API. You need a Meta app with the WhatsApp product added and a phone number registered to it.
What you need from Meta
- Phone number ID of the WhatsApp number you will send from.
- WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID.
- A permanent access token (a system-user token, not the temporary 24-hour one).
- Your Meta app's app secret.
Enter the details
- Open Settings → Integrations and find WhatsApp (Meta Cloud API).
- Fill in the phone number ID, WABA ID, permanent access token and app secret.
- Choose a webhook verify token: any secret phrase you make up.
- Save. Saved secrets are never shown again; leave a secret field blank to keep the current value.
Set up the webhook in Meta
The same card shows your webhook URL with a copy button. In your Meta app's WhatsApp configuration, set that URL as the callback URL and enter the same verify token you saved in Settings. Subscribe to message events so replies from your leads reach the WhatsApp inbox.
A WhatsApp number can only be connected to one account.
